Originally a musician, then the sound became image.
The research lays its foundations on the body and on the physical and
moral inadequacy.
The still grotesque reveals itself to the human
curiosity.
It's the narration of an inexplicable survey on corporeity,
its miseries and yet its beauty, always and everywhere.
It's both the
claim of the imperfection and its self-satisfied purity.
The innocence of the monstrous is beautiful and disarming.
The trouble arises when it appears that the experience of beauty, as
every object of seduction, contains something monstrous. Beauty is
an accessory as inaccessible as the monstrous, it is the forbidden you don't dare to love,
it is the cruelty of innocence, the mediocrity of daily gestures
concealed by the need to combine items recognized as
harmless with any excess.
Excess that becomes in the work of Sergio Padovani a
merciless stage; alienation and decadence are maintained in the
painting along with the staging of a world where the body doesn't
represent himself only, but also fears and secrets, hesitation and
reserve, the discretion of a stunned embarrassment."

Sergio padovani has a vital link with the silent cinema of the 20s.
He takes inspiration from frames that exacerbate glances and facial expressions.
A large staging in which actors are losers and victims, who flaunt their arrogance
knowing they're not able to show feelings; for a moment perhaps

Nato a Modena il 25 Aprile 1972 , dove vive e lavora .

Inizialmente musicista , poi il suono si è trasformato in immagine .
La ricerca pone i suoi fondamenti sul corpo e l'inadeguatezza fisica e
morale .
Il grottesco,immobile, rivelarsi al giudizio dell'umana curiosità .
La narrazione dell'inesplicabile indagine sulla corporeità ,delle sue miserie e
della sua bellezza , sempre e comunque .
La rivendicazione dell'imperfezione e della sua autocompiaciuta purezza .
“L'innocenza della bellezza e del mostruoso è disarmante.
Il turbamento ha origine quando si manifesta l'esperienza del bello poiché
ogni oggetto di seduzione contiene qualcosa di mostruoso.
La bellezza è un accessorio inaccessibile come il mostruoso, è il proibito
che non si osa amare, è la crudeltà dell'innocenza, la mediocrità dei gesti
quotidiani celata dal bisogno di combinare ogni eccesso con elementi
riconosciuti come innocui. Eccesso che diviene nell'opera di Sergio Padovani
palcoscenico impietoso; alienazione e decadenza si mantengono nella materia
pittorica, nella messa in scena di un universo ove il corpo non rappresenta
solo se stesso, ma paure e segreti, esitazione e riserbo, la discrezione di un
attonito imbarazzo”.

di non poterla esibire, sentendosi per un attimo carnefici forse di loro stessi....”
